Sacramento Trip: Visiting LaPlantes

Tony and Doug walk around the yard to inspect the work
(or is it to keep an eye on the workers?)

Tony's brother Midey (nickname) is raking out
the soil in preparation for planting shrubs and flowers today.

Here is the dry creek they put in.

Roses and some flowering bushes are in now.
It is already looking beautiful.

This is mother's nature's idea of landscaping.
Their property is surrounded with clover (red) and lupin (purple).

Jaci wants to pose in her new Easter dress.
She even has silver shoes to match!
The fabric has pretty colored butterflies
that sparkle softly in the light.

Posed for a memory picture of our visit.

Garret designed an amazing board game after hours of thought
and internet learning. It involves dinosaurs, and if you don't
remember many facts about them, you will after playing this
game, win or lose!

I like to make up games!

Grandma gets to visit kindergarten with Jaci at Franklin school.
She is rapt in listening to her teacher Mrs. Van____.

I know!

Cathy had purchased a bird cage and a bird feeder to paint when I came.
Garret insisted Grandma knew best how to draw the dinosaurs, lizards, and
dragonflies best! What a tax on my imagination. Had to go to the internet to

remember how to draw a dragonfly.

Isn't that lame in a child's eye?

Clouds, sun and sky make a good rooftop.

Painting in the dinosaur.

Finished!

Me, too!

Tony adds some glue to make them more permanent before hanging.

There! We did it!

So much fun! Can't wait to come back next year!

It's crazy how much Jaci looks like Cathy! Twins! Their house is so pretty. I love the front of it. Looks like they've put so much work into it, I love it!

It is amazing how those kids are mini-me's of both their parents! What cute bird houses and amazing dino's on the front of Garret's. There home is in the most beautiful setting. They always do a great job with landscaping. I always love to see it! Crazy I never got to see those kids all week...what a contradictory schedule Cathy & I keep! UGH! I love that first photo of TOny & Doug "walking".
